I know it's been a while since I updated this area. But I've been really burning the midnight oil on work in general and the third installment of the animation for GD in particular. I'm really glad I took the time to work on those side projects. "Misi's Mom" and "Pirate" helped me sharpen skills that I put to use in the production. The practice totally paid off! Most of the action sequences are done. I'm working on the secondary and support scenes! I'm really proud of whats on the table right now... when I get some dialog scenes done (the easy stuff is for last) I'll put together a little trailer for you all!

I finally finished Feb's work load and man was I tired. Still a bit bushed actually. Lots of little things were constantly coming up to take small bites out of my schedule and I watched helplessly as my time nickel-and-dimed down to empty. I didn't do everything I wanted to for February, but at least I got to do everything I had to. Tonight I'll work on updating the website. I'm still really drowsy.
Time is like holding a big bowl of precious marbles while rollerskating down a long hill and trying to talk to everyone who calls on your cell phone. Somethings gonna drop.

Whew. It's been a while since I updated hasn't it.
It's all for a good cause. I had a lot to do during December and January and for the longest time it's been work-work-work.
I have taken breaks for time to time, but the schedule still has been very very tight. Not the start I'd hoped for for the new year.
On a positive note, I think my animation skill has increased a bit from the work I'm doing. Focusing on timing, control and transition is key now. I'm still working on the action scenes but now I really want to control the pacing to get the most out of a fast pace. Always learning.
This month I have to focus on Edgeguard. Starting tonight I'll be doing a ton of Edgeguard comics. Meanwhile, LVLUP will be on hiatus till March. If I have extra time I'll do something, but I'd really like to get EdgeGuard some of the extra attention it's long overdue for.

Lately I've been scripting a new Tifanny and Charlotte story for Jennifer Anderson. I've been inspired by something old and something new. Azumanga Daioh and Mission: Magic! If you've never heard of the later, don't worry it's an oldie! Still they mix beautifully into something I can't wait to serve up!

Oops. There is the clock! Time to get back to it.

Kinda stressed out this week.
Lots of stuff to do and I'm already late doin' them.
Nothing I can't handle, but I'll be moody for a while though.

Ahh, Christmas was so fun. This year was quite but memorable and nostalgic.
Some kids from my apartment complex had gotten a pair of electric mini-bikes for Christmas. They were having the times of their lives jetting around the parking lot. I watched from my window while sipping on some lemonade tea. (Ran outta eggnog.) It brought me back to the Christmas I and my brothers had when we got our first wagon. A "Flintstone" wagon we pushed each other up and down the sidewalks on. The sounds and scenery rushing past still echo as clear as a bell.
I may be getting old, but at least I still have some of my five year old memories locked away to pop out at times like these.
I hope you all had as nice or better a holiday as I did.

Wow! It has been a real long time since I posted one of these, hasn't it.
Today I'm working on a new script for Pirates VS Ninja's next series and it's going very well. The main characters are both kind of dastardly though, but hey... It's a book about Pirates and Ninjas fighting. There arent really good guys for this kind of story. When the script is done, I'll be able to start on GD for this month... which should be around noon tomorrow unless a block hits me or something. Unlikely. Things are really flowing now, and I've already made the main point of the first issue's story. It's really nice to do a knock down dragout series of stories like this for a change. I guess it's my big chance to be nasty and evil!

I havent been the best at keeping up with these, but you probably already know the reason.
And once again I'm approaching the end of a deadline so I have to focus on getting my work done before I can do anything here. Sorry about the sporatic updates this fall.
As soon as Time Raft is done, I'm going to have something else to keep me busy. This is true, but it will be a little while before I do something this work intensive... for a little while at least.

Happy Thanksgivin bg you guys!
I'm actually with the folks here at my apartment complex having a Thanksgiving bbq blockparty of sorts. Later on I'm heading to the office to work on some Ayane to post tonight. But for now, I'm just gonna relax and not feel guilty about all this food. No guilt here! Nope!

I was pleasantly surprised when I came in to the office today. We talked about the moves that are being planned for 2008 and it was most encouraging. I wish I would talked to Joe yesterday, I would have been in a much, *much* better mood. Anyway, I'm definately going to be able to create Gold Digger Next Generation after all! Yesterday I was worried that I wouldn't be able to continue to create GD. Now I'm worried that I'll never be able to bring myself quit! Thank you all for continuing to support the adventures I pen. AP's support is huge, but the truth is, I'd still be on issue 3 without you.

Ugh. I need to stop posting when I'm grumpy... Please disregard the previous. Things aren't as bad as they seem when you have a headache.
